Who are we?
We are a group of fun-loving people who like to garden and create
floral arrangements. We welcome all horticulturalists-at-heart to
come to our meetings and to get to know us. Most of our members live
in and around Point Loma, but please feel free to join us from
farther away.

What do we do?
We meet to discuss topics of interest to hobbyist and professional gardeners. Activities include speakers, plant sales and sharing, craft-making, field trips, and social gatherings. Each meeting is preceded by a potluck brunch. General meetings are on the second Wednesday of
every month September through June in Point Loma at:

Fifty Years of Gardening Gifts
I am looking forward to working with all of you that share the love of gardening and nature with me. Our Club theme for this Golden Anniversary year is “Gifts from the Garden … receiving and giving.”
As gardeners, we receive countless gifts from our gardens.
We are stimulated when we design our gardens; we enjoy the anticipation of seeds sprouting and future growth. We take pleasure, too, in the blooms and edibles that bless our homes. Finally, they provide us with a place to reflect and find solitude.
We, in turn, pass on many gifts to family, friends and neighbors.
The gift of beautification provides pleasure to all. Sustenance, both physical and mental, is given from our flower and vegetable gardens. Education is a gift that expands their love of gardening. And, hopefully, their observation of the growing cycles of plants gives them the gift of wisdom to help them understand their lives.

Wine In The Garden
Several times a year, different members open their garden for an afternoon gathering. Members are encouraged to invite their friends and neighbors so they can become familiar with the club. Non-members are also invited to attend. Please contact the Membership Chair for details on the next gathering.

Membership dues are $40 per year. These fees help us with our activities and membership costs, including newsletter mailings. Members also enjoy discounts at favored local nurseries.
